My Eclipse / Zend Studio had been reject connections to hosts (by subclipse plugin). An error in Eclipse console was appeared: “unknown hostname”. The same problem with DNS resolving, I was encountered in Google Earth application. The solution of this issue is to install the lib32nss-mdns package. Use the following command to do it:

# apt-get install lib32nss-mdns
